Damian Lillard's "lighthearted" prediction on who would win the series between his Portland Trail Blazers and the West's best team ignited conversation on Thursday.
Though Lillard didn't amend his "Blazers in six games" answer, he argues he answered as best he could.
"I was asked in six or seven (games), and I said six. It was a lighthearted exchange," Lillard said, according to ESPN's Chris Haynes. "But with that said, I do believe we can win the series."
Lillard was queried by CSN Northwest on Tuesday, and was asked whether the eighth seed would beat the Golden State Warriors (67-15), in the series that begins Sunday, in six games or seven. Lillard cheekily responded with six.
