Report: Heat's asking price too high in Dragic trade talks
During a season that's looking more and more lost by the day, paired with a roster absolutely ravaged by injuries, the Miami Heat aren't willing to just give away their assets and mail it in.
Starting point guard Goran Dragic is one of the organization's more valuable moving chips, but as ESPN's Marc Stein reports, Miami's asking price for the 30-year-old Slovenian is simply too high for other teams to engage in serious discussions.
His name was bantered about in trade rumors a month ago, with the belief that he wanted out of South Beach, although he later refuted that by saying how comfortable he is in the city, and how he's become "connected" to his younger teammates.
Dragic is currently in the second year of a five-year, $90-million deal he inked two summers ago. He's currently averaging 18.9 points on 45.3 percent shooting, 3.8 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and a steal in 33.9 minutes for the 11-27 Heat, who sit 13th in the Eastern Conference.
