Carmelo appears to take subtle shot at Phil Jackson in Instagram post
Carmelo Anthony may not want to talk about Phil Jackson's critique of him holding the ball too long and hindering the New York Knicks' offense, but that's not keeping him from writing about it.
In an Instagram post published Thursday afternoon, the 32-year-old took what appeared to be a shot at the Knicks' president of basketball operations by discussing ego, and how it's better to be the bigger person.
He then followed that up an hour later with an image of the late, great Muhammad Ali and how he's "UN-Phased," although he didn't specify what exactly he was referring to.
The Knicks are coming off a demoralizing defeat at the hands of the defending NBA champions on Wednesday, so the possibility remains that Anthony's remarks had something to do with that.
Then again, the timing of his posts and his overall vagueness points towards Jackson being the target.
