Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Nick Young will miss two-to-four weeks after being diagnosed with a strained calf muscle in his right leg, the team announced.

Young's ailment initially looked far worse, as he exited Monday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans with the non-contact injury while grabbing his leg. He stayed down for quite some time before being helped off the court by teammates.

Instead, Young ducks a major injury and will be able to return to the Lakers within a month to continue a career year that's seen him average 13.3 points per game while playing surprisingly stellar defense and shooting 42 percent from deep.
