Carmelo: 'We can't rely on a system or one person' for leadership
Carmelo Anthony is just the latest NBA personality to voice his vision for America following Tuesday's election.
With Donald Trump being named as the president-elect following a shocking victory over Hillary Clinton, coaches and players alike have shared their frustrations with the result.
Anthony took things a step further by demanding accountability out of everyone, as relayed by reporter Alex Wong.
"It's our responsibility as men and women to take this into our own hands, to be our own role models and be our own leaders at this point, regardless of who the Commander-in-Chief is.
"We're going to have more of a responsibility now especially with the youth and educating them. I talked to youths and kids today and my family, you can just hear the nervousness. They're afraid. They don't know what to think.
"People don't know what to do at this point. I think it's up to us as individuals to take that responsibility and lead. Everybody has to lead in their own way. We can't rely on a system, or one person. We have to move on from that."
