Mavs' Williams out vs. Bucks with calf injury
Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports
Injuries continue piling up for the Dallas Mavericks.
Dallas was without starting point guard Deron Williams for Sunday's contest versus the Milwaukee Bucks due to a calf injury.
Williams has played well for the Mavericks this season, averaging 15.0 points, 5.8 assists, and 2.2 rebounds on 41.5 percent shooting, and 41.4 percent from deep.
The Mavericks will need to rely heavily on J.J. Barea should Williams miss extended time, as backup point guard Devin Harris is expected to miss a couple more weeks with a toe injury.
Williams joined Dirk Nowitzki as the other Mavericks starter out of the lineup.
Andrew Bogut started after missing Friday night's contest due to personal reasons.
