Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Doesn't impress in NBA debut
Poeltl scored two points (1-4 FG) with two rebounds while committing five fouls in 13 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 109-91 win over the Pistons.
Analysis:
Lucas Nogueira's ankle injury allowed Poeltl to see some action in his NBA debut, but other than a slam dunk in the fourth quarter off a great feed from Terrence Ross, Poeltl made very little positive impact on the game for the Raptors. The ninth overall pick could develop into a solid big man in time, but for now the 21-year-old has a lot to work on both in terms of his skill set and his overall strength and physicality.
