Thompson shuts down Terry's belief that he's a 'B-side player'

"Splash Brother" Klay Thompson has more important things to worry about than where veteran guard Jason Terry of the Milwaukee Bucks ranks him in the NBA's pecking order of elite talents.

Terry was adamant during a September appearance on SiriusXM NBA Radio that James Harden was the best shooting guard in the league today, and not Thompson. "He's not leading s--t," the 39-year-old said of the Golden State Warriors sharpshooter.

He then went on to list "A-side players" who he believes to be superstars, naming off Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, and Harden. His "B-side players" - who would be in a supporting role, but not off the bench - would be the likes of Thompson and Kawhi Leonard.

"I honestly don't even know what that means," Thompson said of the term "B-side player" while on SiriusXM NBA Radio on Monday. "Whatever Jason wants to call me, I'll be a 'B-side player.' I'll be a 'B-side' on my way to compete for championships. It's OK with me.

"Kawhi Leonard is a 'B-side player?' Man, that man was a Finals MVP and one of the best two-way players in the game."

Thompson averaged a career-high 22.1 points during the 2015-16 campaign, shooting 47 percent from the field and 42.5 percent from 3-point range. His 276 makes from behind the arc were also the third-most in NBA history.
