Better late than never.
Allen Iverson showed up at Thursday's Basketball Hall of Fame introductory news conference in Springfield, Mass. about 90 minutes late. It was reported earlier that the Philadelphia 76ers legend was dealing with travel issues but was expected to be at Friday's induction ceremony.
When he arrived Thursday, Iverson had missed the news conference portion of the event, but didn't escape donning the Hall's new orange sport coat.
"This is a jacket that I will always remember and cherish," Iverson told reporters. He attributed his tardiness to a "personal situation."
