The Phoenix Suns will "host" the Dallas Mavericks in a regular-season game in Mexico City this January, Sportsday's Eddie Sefko reports.
Dallas will officially be listed as the visiting team for the game, which will extend the NBA's long-running, ever-expanding Global Games initiative.
Mexico City Arena has held regular-season games in each of the last two years, hosting the Houston Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves in November 2014, and the Boston Celtics and Sacramento Kings in December 2015.
The city was also scheduled to host a game in December 2013, but it had to be rescheduled and relocated to Minnesota after a generator malfunction caused the arena to fill with smoke.
