For decades, the narrative of Cleveland sports has been negative: The Drive, The Fumble, The Shot, and The Decision, among others.
But on Sunday night, a new day dawned for the city with the Cavaliers' NBA championship.
Add this verb to the lexicon, but in a much more positive manner: The Block.
LeBron James' chasedown pin of Andre Iguodala's layup attempt helped ensure the Golden State Warriors were kept off the scoreboard in the final 4:39 of Game 7, the key late play in the Cavs' 93-89 victory.
After the win, LeBron candidly explained the play.
"Iguodala is a bad motherfucker!" James exclaimed, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin and Brian Windhorst. "I had to go chase it down."
It will be a play many Clevelanders will never forget.
