Milka Duno to race in Nationwide for RAB Racing
Get ready for another new face in NASCAR’s Nationwide Series. RAB Racing announced that they’ve signed driver Milka Duno to participate in select races for the remainder of this year’s Nationwide season.
This marks Duno’s debut in the NASCAR’s second-highest series. In the past, she’s competed in IndyCar, ARCA, Le Mans and the Grand-Am Series. She finished the 2013 ARCA season 7th in points, driving for Venturini Motorsports.
“I’m really very excited and honored to enter into NASCAR and the Nationwide Series,” said Duno via press release. “It has always been a goal and dream of mine to compete in NASCAR and I worked very hard in ARCA to turn this goal into a reality. I always strive to challenge myself as a driver and I’ve been fortunate to compete in many types of racing – and while the competition is always my number one focus – I am very proud of the history that I have made as a female driver, and the Hispanic sports history as well, that has been made along the way.”
Though Duno claims she’s worked hard to get where she’s at, she’s unfortunately most known for getting into this spat with then-IndyCar driver Danica Patrick:
Crew chief Chris Rice will be at the helm for Duno and the RAB Racing No. 29 Toyota Camry team.
