Miocic rolls through Maldonado to earn win at TUF Brazil 3 Finale

Stipe Miocic did exactly what most people thought he would.

The Ohio native needed just over 30 seconds to finish Fabio Maldonado who stepped in for an injured Junior dos Santos to take on a top fighter from a weight class above his own. While the win won't do much for Miocic's status as a heavyweight contender, it didn't hurt his chances for the potential showdown against dos Santos to take place in the near future.

In the two TUF Brazil 3 Finale fights, Antonio Carlos Jr. defeated Vitor Miranda in a unanimous decision victory in the heavyweight final while Warlley Alves was able to finish Marcio Alexandre with a guillotine choke in the middleweight final. Demian Maia also earned his first win since February 2013 against Alexander Yakovlev after putting on a strong performance against his Russian opponent.
