Cris Cyborg is still the PFL women's featherweight champion.
Cyborg, one of the greatest women's fighters in MMA history, defeated Ketlen Vieira via unanimous decision (49-46, 48-47, 49-46) in the PFL Tampa main event Saturday night at Benchmark International Arena.
It was one of Cyborg's toughest fights in years, but the 41-year-old Brazilian landed more punishment in the stand-up department than Vieira to secure the judges' nod. She outstruck Vieira 202-106 in total strikes, according to the broadcast.
In her postfight interview, Cyborg called out world boxing champion Claressa Shields and UFC women's bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison, seemingly ruling out a potential retirement.
The PFL initially announced that this would be the final fight of Cyborg's MMA career, but she said earlier this week that she wasn't sure whether she'd hang up the gloves.
With the victory, Cyborg retained the PFL title for the second time and is now riding a 10-fight winning streak. She hasn't lost since facing Amanda Nunes in the UFC in 2018.
Vieira, a former UFC women's bantamweight contender, signed with the PFL in June and made her debut Saturday. The 34-year-old Brazilian has now alternated wins and losses in her last eight fights.
