Mauricio Ruffy may have locked up the Knockout of the Year award at UFC 313.
The rising lightweight finished King Green with a spinning wheel kick in the first round of their main-card bout Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The stoppage came at the 2:07 mark of the frame. Ruffy's victory marked the 16th wheel-kick knockout in UFC history, according to research analyst Michael Carroll.
Ruffy, who trains out of the surging Fighting Nerds camp in Brazil, improved his Octagon record to 3-0. The 28-year-old has 11 knockouts in 12 professional wins.
Ruffy signed with the UFC in 2023 after a win on Dana White's Contender Series.
