Pavlovich to fight Rozenstruik at UFC Saudi Arabia in February
A heavyweight bout between Sergei Pavlovich and Jairzinho Rozenstruik is set for UFC Saudi Arabia on Feb. 1 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, sources told MMA Junkie's Farah Hannoun.
Pavlovich, ranked No. 4 in the division, is looking to get back on track after back-to-back losses. He was knocked out by Tom Aspinall in an interim title bout last November and then suffered an upset decision defeat to Alexander Volkov at the UFC's debut event in Saudi Arabia in June.
The 32-year-old Russian scored six straight first-round knockout wins - including defeats of Curtis Blaydes, Derrick Lewis, and Tai Tuivasa - before his recent slump.
Rozenstruik is coming off a split-decision victory over Tuivasa at UFC 305 in August. The 36-year-old Suriname native, the No. 9-ranked contender at heavyweight, has won two in a row.
Pavlovich-Rozenstruik is the second fight to be reported for the Feb. 1 event after a middleweight matchup between Ikram Aliskerov and Andre Muniz.
