Report: Saint Denis-Moicano set for 5-round bout at UFC Paris
A battle of lightweight contenders is set to be featured in the UFC's return to Paris.
Renato Moicano will fight Benoit Saint Denis in a five-round marquee bout at Accor Arena on Sept. 28, sources told MMA Junkie's Nolan King.
Moicano (19-5-1) is currently riding a three-fight win streak, including two via finish. The Brazilian fighter secured a second-round TKO over Jalin Turner at UFC 300 in April. The 35-year-old's only loss in his past five matches came in March 2022 against Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 272.
Saint Denis (13-2) will fight in front of his home crowd. The French fighter had his five-bout winning streak snapped this past March after a second-round KO at the hands of Dustin Poirier at UFC 299.
It's unclear if Saint Denis-Moicano will be the main or co-main event in Paris. Saint Denis and Moicano will enter the Octagon as the No.12- and No. 10-ranked lightweights, respectively.
