Hill to face Rountree at UFC 303 after loss to Pereira

The announcement comes less than a week after Alex Pereira knocked out Hill in the UFC 300 main event April 13. Now ranked No. 3 in the light heavyweight division, Hill is 4-1 in his last five bouts.
The 32-year-old fought Pereira after a 14-month layoff because of a torn Achilles, which forced him to relinquish the UFC light heavyweight championship last July. Prior to the Pereira defeat, Hill hadn't lost a fight since June 2021 against Paul Craig.
Rountree, ranked eighth in the division, has won his last five fights dating back to September 2021. The 34-year-old most recently defeated Anthony Smith via TKO in December to earn the biggest win of his career. Rountree will now have a chance to add an even bigger victory to his resume against a former champion.
UFC 303, this year's International Fight Week pay-per-view card, will be headlined by a highly anticipated welterweight fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler.
