Logan Storley defeated Michael Page via split decision (48-47, 47-48, 49-46) in the Bellator 281 main event to win the interim welterweight title Friday.

It was a methodical win for Storley, who controlled most of the contest by using his wrestling ability to neutralize Page's knockout potential.

Storley endured a hostile environment in front of Page's hometown crowd in London. Page managed to land a few blows throughout the bout, but he couldn't provide an answer to Storley's grappling.

"Boo me all you want; that guy is talented," Storley said postfight. "Nobody stands with him. Look what happens when everyone stands with him. So, don't boo me. Don't boo me for winning."

Storley was inserted into the Bellator 281 main event after welterweight titleholder Yaroslav Amosov withdrew from the card to defend his home country of Ukraine from Russia's invasion.

Storley is now 9-1 in Bellator, with his only loss coming against Amosov in November 2020.

Page's defeat ends a six-fight win streak and hands him only the second loss of his career.
