UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira sees an upset unfolding in the rubber match between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor.

Oliveira told TMZ Sports he's picking McGregor to beat Poirier by knockout and take the trilogy. The highly anticipated bout is scheduled to headline UFC 264 on Saturday in Las Vegas.

UFC president Dana White said earlier this week the Poirier-McGregor winner will go on to challenge Oliveira for the title. Oliveira said he doesn't care whether he faces Poirier or McGregor.

The two lightweight contenders both said Thursday they would be open to fighting Oliveira toward the end of the year. McGregor said he wants the clash to happen at Allegiant Stadium - which has a capacity of 65,000 - in Las Vegas.

Oliveira captured the vacant 155-pound title in May with a second-round knockout win over Michael Chandler. Poirier and McGregor are ranked No. 1 and No. 5 in the division, respectively.

Poirier and McGregor's series is tied at 1-1, with the former scoring a second-round TKO win at UFC 257 in January. McGregor knocked out Poirier in the first round of their 2014 encounter.
