The UFC is working to finalize a fight between Glover Teixeira and Thiago Santos to headline its main event on Sept. 12, according to ESPN's Brett Okamoto.
Santos is set to make his return since tearing the ACL, MCL, PCL, and meniscus in his left knee in a light heavyweight title bout against Jon Jones at UFC 239 last July. The Brazilian, who underwent double knee surgery, became the first fighter to take Jones to a split decision, though it came in defeat.
Teixeira, meanwhile, has won four straight fights, including a dominant TKO victory against Anthony Smith in May.
The UFC's event on Sept. 12 also features a bout between Andrea Lee and Roxanne Modafferi as well as Tyson Nam versus Matt Schnell.
