Tarec Saffiedine is no longer on the UFC roster.

The promotion released the former Strikeforce champion last week, according to MMA Fighting's Damon Martin.

Saffiedine, 33, has not fought since June 2017, when he suffered a decision loss to Rafael dos Anjos. Saffiedine has dealt with several stretches of inactivity over the past five years due to various injuries.

Best known for his Strikeforce welterweight title win over Nate Marquardt in 2013, Saffiedine didn't find the same level of success once he signed with the UFC in 2014.

The Belgium native went 2-4 in the UFC overall and finished his run with the promotion on a three-fight skid. His two wins were over Jake Ellenberger and Hyun Gyu Lim.
