Oleksandr Usyk has two names in mind for the final fight of his career.

The former undisputed heavyweight champion wants to face either Deontay Wilder or UFC legend Jon Jones in late 2026 or early 2027 in the United States, his adviser, Sergey Lapin, told The Ring's Mike Coppinger.

Usyk's preferred option is Wilder, Coppinger adds.

Usyk, 39, announced last week he was vacating the WBA, WBC, and IBF heavyweight titles in order to avoid holding up the division ahead of his "last dance."

The Ukrainian is the greatest heavyweight of this generation. He became undisputed champion in 2024 and again in 2025 and has beaten the likes of Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, and Daniel Dubois.

In his most recent appearance, Usyk was involved in a crossover bout against champion kickboxer Rico Verhoeven in May, winning by 11th-round TKO at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt.

Wilder is a former WBC heavyweight champion and one of the biggest names in the division. He's coming off a split-decision victory over Derek Chisora in April and is riding a two-fight winning streak.

Jones is one of the greatest fighters in mixed martial arts history but has never competed in professional boxing. The former UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion retired from the sport in 2025 but has kept the door open for a return.
