Conor McGregor may be retired, but it apparently hasn't altered his intense training regimen.

The former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion posted an Instagram picture on Friday in which he's sporting a cast on his left hand.

McGregor abruptly announced his retirement from mixed martial arts in March, but many continue to speculate that it was a ploy designed to further enhance his value to the UFC and possibly acquire shares of the company, which he's said is one of his goals.

Despite being retired, the 30-year-old recently stated his desire for a rematch with current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, who defeated the Irishman in October via submission. McGregor has also said he wouldn't mind a second shot in the boxing ring.
