Leon Edwards defeated Donald Cerrone via unanimous decision Saturday in the main event of UFC Singapore, preventing his opponent from notching a record 21st victory in the UFC.

Edwards controlled the bout from start to finish, encountering only a few minor hiccups along the way. All three judges scored the contest 48-47 in favor of Edwards, who has now won six straight fights.

Cerrone was bloodied early in the opening round, and said after the fight that he'd felt ill throughout the day and struggled just to get out of bed. "Cowboy" remains tied with Georges St-Pierre and Michael Bisping atop the record book with 20 career UFC triumphs, but the 35-year-old old has dropped four of his last five matches. Nonetheless, he said he plans to continue fighting.
