Nick Diaz will appear in Las Vegas Justice Court next on June 6 at 8:30 a.m. local time before judge Amy Chelini regarding his recent domestic battery charges, a court rep confirmed to MMA Fighting's Marc Raimondi on Tuesday.

The UFC fighter - currently on hiatus from the Octagon - was arrested on Friday for two charges of domestic battery, including one felony charge for domestic battery by strangulation. Diaz was released on $18,000 bail late Friday night and had his mugshot released by Vegas P.D. on Tuesday.

The woman allegedly assaulted by Diaz needed to be taken to hospital when authorities arrived to arrest the UFC fighter. Diaz then became physically uncooperative with the police.

Diaz has been out of action since January 2015 and was suspended by USADA until April due to a positive marijuana test and a whereabouts violation.
