Nate Diaz might be the most coveted opponent in the UFC right now who doesn't have a belt or isn't named Conor McGregor, but the Stockton southpaw isn't going to return to the Octagon for just anyone.
Diaz has recently been called out by top lightweights Kevin Lee and Eddie Alvarez after teasing a bout with Tyron Woodley late last year. The UFC is reportedly targeting a Diaz return in August in Los Angeles, but he doesn't seem ready to settle.
"Nobody interests me right now, but I'm interested in doing something," Diaz told MMAjunkie's Simon Samano on Saturday. "I don't think the UFC wants any of those fights to happen because we haven’t been talking about none of them. So time will tell."
Diaz, who hasn't fought since August 2016, says part of the reason for his absence has been an ongoing lawsuit involving his ex-manager, but he's been training with hopes of getting back to fighting after that matter was dismissed by a judge in February.
The 33-year-old says he asked for a specific opponent, who he declines to identify, but the fight fell through. While no other fighter has grabbed his interest, Diaz knows his return to the Octagon will get fight fans excited, and he wants someone to spark a feud with him.

"What people don’t understand is that any fight I fight is going to be a money fight," Diaz said. "I'm not waiting for anybody. I’m just waiting for a mother---ker to do something. Let's get a real fight going. I’m not going to be involved in no weak s---."
After squashing Dana White's comments about a potential fight with Georges St-Pierre via social media on Friday, Diaz confirmed two days later that he's "not fighting that fight."
