Fight Forecast: Matches to make after UFC Singapore

David McIntyre / USA TODAY Sports

After UFC Fight Night 111, theScore's Themistoklis Alexis picks which matchups should be made for the event's main-card winners.

Holly Holm vs. Julianna Pena

As picturesque as her question-mark kick KO of Bethe Correia might have been, Holm will have to put her lofty aspirations on the back burner for the time being.

Moments after the former bantamweight champ dispatched Correia in Saturday's main event, her agent Lenny Fresquez revealed their immediate mandate was to reclaim UFC gold, whether at 135 or 145 pounds. But with just one win to her name over four fights spanning nearly 18 months, odds are "The Preacher's Daughter" won't be competing for a title in the near future.

Watch: Holm puts Correia away with 3rd-round head-kick KO

Saturday's emphatic victory should net Holm another top-tier opponent, and Julianna Pena - who'd won four straight before falling to challenger-in-waiting Valentina Shevchenko in January - and former contender Liz Carmouche fit the bill.

Marcin Tybura vs. Browne-Oleinik winner

Tybura won't be sharing the cage with another legend in his next outing.

While a win over former heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski is nothing to sneeze at, the fact remains Tybura's third straight scalp's best days are long behind him, and with the divisional upper crust busy jockeying for a title shot, the Pole will unfortunately have to settle for a lateral move.

Travis Browne was once touted as a title challenger in the making, while his latest foe Aleksei Oleinik boasts three first-round finishes in four UFC bouts. Tybura's decision over Arlovski earns him a date with the winner of their upcoming clash at UFC 213.

Recap: Tybura grinds out unanimous decision win over Arlovski

Colby Covington vs. Nelson-Ponzinibbio winner

Good things happen when you walk the walk.

The increasingly boastful Covington crashed the welterweight top 15 with a lopsided decision over divisional fixture Dong Hyun Kim, ranked seventh heading into Saturday's contest. Now riding a four-fight win streak and holding a UFC record of 7-1, the 29-year-old should be intently watching Gunnar Nelson's July tilt with Santiago Ponzinibbio. The pair are ranked ninth and 13th, respectively, and either fighter would make for quite the style clash with a Division I wrestler in Covington.

If he isn't tapped to face the winner of UFC Fight Night 113's main event, Covington can always settle his beef with converted lightweight Rafael dos Anjos, who bested Tarec Saffiedine in his divisional debut moments prior to Covington's win over Kim.

Recap: Covington tops Kim for 4th straight win

Rafael dos Anjos vs. Leon Edwards

If dos Anjos wants to make a proper go of his attempted reinvention at 170 pounds, he'll have to test the waters rather thoroughly.

The former lightweight champ's divisional foray got off to a good start with a unanimous decision over a former Strikeforce champ in Saffiedine, but his measurables remain rather diminutive by welterweight standards, which means he'll have to get a few dates with some fringe contenders under his belt before he can confidently clash with the cream of the 170-pound crop.

England's Leon Edwards has made significant strides over his seven-fight stint in the UFC, and cracked the top 15 with a win over the lethal Vicente Luque in March - his third straight. Book it.
