Chad Johnson campaigns to fight on Mayweather-McGregor card
Now that the long-teased Floyd Mayweather versus Conor McGregor fight is actually going to happen, people are trying to figure out how they can get a piece of what should be the richest pie in pay-per-view history.
One such person is former NFL receiver Chad Johnson, who used his Twitter account this week to pitch himself as a possible undercard combatant:
I want to fight on Mayweather-McGregor undercard
— Chad Johnson (@ochocinco) June 14, 2017
Johnson has tried hard to remain in the spotlight since his days as the touchdown-celebrating receiver known as Chad Ochocinco ended, including a half-hearted attempt to play in MLS and brief stints in the Canadian Football League and Mexican football league.
But can he box? More importantly, does anyone want to watch him box?
If Johnson does somehow find his way onto the Mayweather-McGregor card, there's only one opponent we want to see him fight: Terrell Owens.
