Ex-UFC champ Matt Hughes airlifted after truck collides with moving train
Former UFC welterweight champion and Hall of Fame member Matt Hughes was airlifted to a medical facility after his truck hit a moving train on Friday, UFC president Dana White told ESPN's Brett Okamoto.
"Apparently he has head trauma," White said. "His family is traveling to him now."
The UFC acknowledged the news and expressed its support for Hughes and his family via Twitter:

The 43-year-old Hughes retired in 2011 after compiling a resume that put him among the greatest fighters ever to compete in MMA. He won the UFC welterweight title on two separate occasions and successfully defended it seven times, including a run of five straight defenses from 2001-2003.
Hughes's 24 appearances at welterweight are tied for the most in UFC history.
