Nate Diaz's wallet is taking the hit for his bad boy behavior.

On Thursday, Diaz agreed to a proposed settlement with the Nevada State Athletic Commission that will reportedly see him fined $50,000 and serve 50 hours of community service for his involvement in an August press conference melee, according to ESPN's Brett Okamoto.

The incident in question saw Diaz and rival Conor McGregor hurl cans and water bottles at each other during a media event for their rematch at UFC 202. Diaz abandoned the stage when McGregor arrived late, leading to a shouting match between McGregor's and Diaz's entourage, and then the throwing of projectiles.

Though nobody suffered bodily harm, the NSAC still saw fit to penalize McGregor to the tune of a $75,000 fine and by making him contribute an additional $75,000 to a public service announcement. He is currently petitioning the fine.

Diaz had originally requested that the commission give him a suspension instead of a fine, but it appears that his suggestion has fallen on deaf ears. The deadline for his payment is Feb. 1.
