Jason "Mayhem" Miller was arrested early Sunday on suspicion of assault and battery, public intoxication, and assaulting a police officer, according to Chris Haire from the Orange County Register.
The 35-year-old former UFC fighter allegedly got into an argument with two women at Saddle Ranch Shop House in Costa Mesa, Calif. He grabbed one of the women and tried to punch her, but was first taken down and handcuffed by security.
"While being detained, he spit on one of the officers," Sgt. Dan Miles of the Costa Mesa Police Department said, "which is disgusting."
Miller was taken to hospital for injuries to his face suffered during the detaining process and later taken to jail, where he stayed until Sunday afternoon. He has been ordered to appear in court Aug. 8.
Prior to the altercation, Miller faced legal trouble in March for allegedly vandalizing a tattoo shop, and in February, for suspicion of driving under the influence.
He's also faced arrests for assault with a weapon on a peace officer, domestic violence, evading arrest, and public nudity for various incidents.
