The Colorado Rapids have traded the second overall draft pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft to the Philadelphia Union in exchange for allocation money and an undisclosed player.

The Union now possess the second, third, and sixth overall draft picks. Meanwhile, the Rapids hold pick No. 12, having traded targeted allocation money to the LA Galaxy to get the pick earlier in the day.
