VIDEOS: Didier Drogba greeted by enormous crowd in Montreal, takes awesome selfie
Welcome to Canada, Didier Drogba.
At 4:18 p.m. local time on Wednesday, the Ivorian icon arrived at the Montreal-Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport, two days after the Montreal Impact confirmed their acquisition of the player who tallied 164 goals and 88 assists during his two stints at Chelsea.

Drogba's arrival triggered insane scenes - the likes of which Canadian football has never seen - and kept airport security on alert. At one point, he pulled out his phone to record the welcome, causing a mosh pit to break out as supporters attempted to get their faces in the video, which can be seen below.
It was, simply put, a hero's welcome, and it provided an ideal prologue to the story of Drogba's time with the Impact.
