Ever seen a stoppage for snow removal in the middle of a soccer match? How about doing so with a leaf blower?
And yet, that's exactly what happened Sunday at TCF Bank Stadium as Minnesota United made its home debut against expansion outfit Atlanta United.
The snow-covered pitch needed a quick touch-up, and the grounds crew didn't bother with the shovels, instead opting to use the heat of a leaf blower to melt away the snow and reveal the white lines of the outer perimeter and the two boxes.
The midfield line and circle, however, were long lost to winter's touch.
