New York City FC's Designated Player trio combined wonderfully five minutes from half-time to take a 3-0 lead over D.C. United at Yankee Stadium, with new star Maxi Moralez scoring his first goal in Major League Soccer after some help from David Villa and Andrea Pirlo.
Make it three for @NYCFC as Morales picks out the bottom corner. #NYCvDC https://t.co/6X2F1hMP6J

Pirlo forced a turnover in midfield by applying defensive pressure on Jared Jeffrey, allowing Villa to latch onto the loose ball and run toward Bill Hamid's goal. Villa then spotted Moralez making a run through the D.C. defence and picked a perfect pass to the Argentine attacker, who tucked in his effort with ease.
That's how it's done, ladies and gents.
