The Montreal Impact are on the board for the 2017 MLS season, courtesy of a one-two punch from Ignacio Piatti and Matteo Mancosu.
There was no repeat of the club's listless form from last week, when the Impact failed to record a single shot on goal against the San Jose Earthquakes. Instead, Mauro Biello's side crafted an excellent opener against the Seattle Sounders, with Piatti finding Mancosu by way of a visionary through pass.
The Italian striker, now clean through on goal, beat Stefan Frei with ease to give Montreal a 1-0 lead.
