Morrow, Sapong swap 2nd-half strikes as Union earn draw with Toronto FC
A draw was all that could be mustered on Saturday as the Philadelphia Union and Toronto FC split the points in a back-and-forth 2-2 result.
Injuries to Sebastian Giovinco and Jay Simpson, an Alejandro Bedoya missed penalty, and a pair of second-half goals from Justin Morrow and C.J. Sapong spelled the story of the day in Philadelphia, but there was no late drama in the five minutes of added time as the sides each earned second consecutive draws.
The Union got the game started early, with Simpson heading home his first goal in MLS, and Philadelphia nearly compounded Toronto's woes with an erroneous penalty awarded by referee Mark Geiger for Nick Hagglund's out-of-the-box pull-down.
But Bedoya found only the crossbar with his effort.
The Atomic Ant suffered a rough tackle by Oguchi Onyewu at the stroke of halftime and was replaced by Tosaint Ricketts, but the Reds made sure to end the first half on a high note with Jozy Altidore scoring from a penalty.
Toronto then took the lead off a quick restart in the 71st minute, as Morrow slotted home.

It would not hold for long, however, as Sapong rounded Clint Irwin for his leveling effort just two minutes later.
Just like that, it's 2-2! @BigAfrika88 does it for @PhilaUnion! #PHIvTOR https://t.co/StqIQ9OGOy
