Watch: Altidore scores stunning solo goal to give TFC short-lived lead

It didn't last long, but Jozy Altidore's solid solo effort gave Toronto FC a 1-0 lead over D.C. United and saw the U.S. striker channel his inner Lionel Messi in the process.
The man known affectionately as "The Beast" picked up a smart through-ball from Armando Cooper, then played tricks on fellow U.S. teammate Steve Birnbaum before rounding goalkeeper Bill Hamid to tap in his go-ahead goal.
Less than two minutes later, Toronto FC bumbled around the box and conceded to Lamar Neagle, before heading to the locker room tied 1-1 at halftime - still, not too shabby, Mr. Altidore!
