Seattle Sounders score late to secure a point against Houston Dynamo
Houston Dynamo forward Giles Barnes thought he had secured the winner against the Seattle Sounders with his splendid first-half goal at BBVA Compass Stadium.
Instead, he and his teammates went into the locker rooms with just one point as the Sounders scored a 94th-minute equalizer.
Seattle winger Oalex Anderson had one last chance to create a scoring opportunity as his team pressed to find an equalizer down 1-0 in the 94th minute of play. Anderson sent a low cross into the box that goalkeeper Joe Willis attempted to save, but his outstretched arm came up just short.
The ball fell, instead, to the foot of Raul Rodriguez. His first touch was poor and the ball rebounded to Chad Marshall, who tapped home the goal with ease to earn a point for his side, 1-1 the final score.
That's gotta hurt.
