Rockies, Parra agree to 3-year, $27.5M deal

The Colorado Rockies enhanced an already stacked outfield Tuesday, agreeing on a three-year, $27.5-million deal with Gerardo Parra.

Adding Parra to the mix gives Colorado four left-handed hitting outfielders - Charlie Blackmon, Corey Dickerson, Raimel Tapia, and Gonzalez - on its 40-man roster, leading to speculation a subsequent trade could be in the works.

The 28-year-old is a two-time Gold Glover who has the ability to play all three outfield positions

Parra is coming off the best offensive season of his career, hitting .291/.328/.452 with 14 homers and 51 RBIs in 155 games for the Milwaukee Brewers and Baltimore Orioles. Those numbers should only improve hitting in the altitude at Coors Field.
