The Los Angeles Dodgers have added more depth to their infield, signing utility man Elian Herrera to a minor-league deal, reports J.P Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News.
Herrera's deal includes a non-roster invitation to spring training.
The 30-year-old Hererra, who was originally signed by the Dodgers as an amateur free agent in 2003, returns to the club after spending the past two seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers.
He slashed .242/.290/.395 with seven home runs and 33 RBIs across 277 plate appearances in 2015, while also hitting .357/.413/.490 with Triple-A Colorado Springs.
