The Rogers Centre crowd needed something to cheer about.
With their Toronto Blue Jays down two runs in the sixth inning against the Texas Rangers, and playing without AL MVP candidate Josh Donaldson - who left after taking a knee to the head while breaking up a double play - Jose Bautista delivered with a solo bomb to left center.

The right fielder, in the first playoff game of his major-league career, hit the first home run for the Blue Jays since Joe Carter walked off the Philadelphia Phillies in 1993.
The Blue Jays were still down 4-3 after six.
