Pettibone (shoulder) will undergo a second shoulder surgery on July 22, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports.
A second surgery on his throwing shoulder will end Pettibone's season in all likelihood. The team reported that Pettibone would be undergoing an interval closure procedure. The 24-year-old former third rounder will be going under the knife for the second time in just over a year.
