The Toronto Blue Jays have signed pitcher Joel Pineiro to a minor-league deal, according to Sportsnet's Mike Wilner.
Last season, Pineiro, 36, was given a 50-game suspension from MLB for a "prohibited stimulant", and was then released by the Los Angeles Angels. He hasn't pitched in the majors since 2011.
In his career, the right-hander has gone 104-93 with a 4.41 ERA with the Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Cardinals and Angels.
