Nelson Cruz is putting the folks in charge of MLB Statcast to work on a nightly basis.
The Seattle Mariners slugger became the 10th player in franchise history to hit 10 home runs in a month Wednesday by hitting the longest homer of the season, a 483-foot blast that traveled off the bat at 116 mph, according to Statcast.
Cruz has now hit the second-most (12) home runs measured at 425 feet or more since the beginning of last season.

Cruz's third-inning blast off Texas Rangers left-hander Wandy Rodriguez put him in a tie with Hanley Ramirez for the major-league lead.
