Nationals' Escobar to miss 1-2 days with cut on left hand
Brett Davis / USA TODAY Sports
Washington Nationals third baseman Yunel Escobar exited Monday's game in the bottom of the fifth with a cut to his left hand and is expected to miss the next 1-2 days.
Escobar was slid into by Atlanta Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons and immediately held his hand in pain. He was examined by manger Matt Williams and the team's trainer before departing.
The 32-year-old has already missed time this season with a groin strain.
