The Pittsburgh Pirates scratched outfielder Gregory Polanco from Monday's lineup against the Chicago Cubs with tightness in his left groin.

It's unclear when or how Polanco suffered the injury, but the team said he'll undergo treatment during Monday's series opener and be re-evaluated after the game. He was replaced in the lineup by Andrew Lambo, who will bat second and play right field.

Polanco, who had a pair of hits in Sunday's 8-0 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks, is hitting .288/.307/.425 with a team-leading seven stolen bases in 18 games.
