The Yankee Faithful welcomed Derek Jeter to the plate for his first at-bat with a standing ovation and remained on their feet to watch the 40-year-old drive a fastball into the gap in left-center for an RBI double.
Jeter's hit off Orioles right-hander Kevin Gausman came within a couple feet of clearing the wall for what would have been his second home run at Yankee Stadium this season.

The 14-time All-Star advanced to third on a wild pitch and came across to score on an error tying the game 2-2.
The hit continues Jeter's red-hot streak at the plate over his final home stand. In the last eight games, No. 2 is 11-for-30 with four doubles, one home run and seven RBI.
