The Atlanta Braves plan on moving into a new stadium for the 2017 season, a project that is projected to take two and a half years to complete.
The process began Tuesday morning, as the team officially broke ground on the site of the new park, which is currently called "New Atlanta Braves stadium."

The patch of land near Cumberland, in Cobb County, Ga., was announced as the new site in 2011. The projected budget for construction is roughly $622 million.
Along with breaking ground, the Braves announced the naming rights to the new digs. As of 2017, the team will officially play in Sun Trust Park.
